Advertising Week has successfully lured top executives in marketing, but this year’s Advertising Week conference, September 23-26, is branching out to include executives in technology and business in 2019.
With more than 98,000 attendees planning to make their way to New York City, #AWNewYork is curating a one-of-a-kind experience featuring some of the industry’s brightest minds.
The conference, which launched in 2004, formerly focused on advertising. Fast forward sixteen years, programming now includes topics like technology, regulation, culture, data, and social impact. Notable speakers on the guest list include rapper Pitbull, former NBA Commission David Stern, entrepreneur and internet personality Gary Vaynerchuk, but more are expected to be announced over the next few weeks.
Advertising Week is featuring eight themes this year to cast a wider net among their reach:
- Impact Makers
- Story Crafters
- Ad Shapers
- Tech Stars
- Culture Builders
- Insight Drivers
If you didn’t know #TheFutureIsFemale, Advertising Week and NCC Media is searching for outstanding female leaders to apply for the first Future Is Female Awards. Nine women will be honored in order to shine a spotlight on the NewGen leaders who will define the advertising and marketing industry in years to come through their career accomplishments and role model behavior. The winners will be announced at Advertising Week’s Opening Concert where the legendary TLC (“No Scrubs”, “Waterfall”, “Creep”) will perform. The deadline to nominate is Friday, September 13, 2019.
With more than 400 events scheduled to take place there are numerous opportunities to connect with other like-minded industry professionals. Advertising Week’s app is designed to help attendees match profiles with other attendees that have similar experiences or interests you’re looking for in a business contact.
