When Google, youtube, Reddit, Facebook or Twitter decide to bury information, you know you are on to something.
The World Health Organization’s special envoy on COVID-19 urged world leaders this week to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method.”

Expect this to disappear from Twitter.
Earlier this week California Globe reported, Thousands of Epidemiologists, Physicians Sign Letter Citing Severe Public Health Damage with COVID-19 Lockdowns, calling for the end of coronavirus lockdowns, citing the “irreparable damage” they’ve caused.

google has memory holed the great barrington declaration
not only have they wiped it from the top results, they have salted it with false claims about “climate denial”
it’s pure, simple propaganda

But it will be more difficult to bury the WHO’s plea to world leaders.
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil. “The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it,” the Washington Times reported.
Californians, who have been in lockdown mode since early March, will likely never hear about this important science-based plea, because since March, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s arbitrary, politically-motivated lockdown orders have only proven increasingly unscientific.
Since March, Californians have whiplash from Gov. Newsom’s many changing arbitrary sets of guidelines for re-opening counties in California:
- Newsom said stage 2 would come online within a few weeks, allowing retail, manufacturing, offices, child care, possible limited school re-openings, and public spaces being opened to varying degrees.
- However, Californians were also warned in April the lockdown “could last until June.” Which it did.
It is now mid-October – the 9th month into this flu “pandemic,” while Gavin Newsom continues to declare that the nine-month-and-counting State of Emergency centralizes the State’s powers in the hands of the Governor.
As soon as more counties were preparing to move out of the most restrictive tier, Gov. Newsom pivoted again and added an “equity requirement.” In order for counties to move to a less restrictive tier, they must “Ensure that the test positivity rates in its most disadvantaged neighborhoods, as defined as being in the lowest quartile of the Healthy Places Index census tracts, do not significantly lag behind its overall county test positivity rate,” according to the California Department of Public Health “Blueprint for a Safer Economy.”
Why? Because, the CDPH says, “It has been clearly documented that certain communities – low-income, Black, Latino, Pacific Islander, and essential workers – have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 in terms of higher rates of infection, hospitalizations, and deaths.”
This truly is from the “make Orwell fiction again” files.
During a news conference on Tuesday, CHHS Secretary Mark Ghaly announced that a statewide theme park reopening plan would be coming “as soon as possible,” and that they are working with theme park representatives to come up with new guidelines, the Globe reported.
But the next day, Gov. Newsom revoked Ghaly’s hopeful message, saying “We feel there’s no hurry to put out guidelines, and we continue to work with the industry.”
“The giant lay-off shook California officials, who soon worked with theme park companies for reopening guidelines,” the Globe reported. “I understand the dialectic, the friction that many business leaders have that they want to move forward. But we’re going to be led by a health-first framework, and we’re going to be stubborn about it,” Newsom said. “And that’s our commitment, that’s our resolve.”
The very next day, Bob Iger, chairman of the Walt Disney Company, stepped down from Gov. Newsom’s COVID-19 task force to help navigate the economic issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, Los Angeles CBS reported.
The only way to “navigate the economic issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic” is to fully open the entire state.
California is becoming a wasteland of closed medium to small businesses, deemed “non-essential” by Gov. Newsom, while big-box stores and big chain stores are opened for business.
Millions of Californians have not received unemployment checks for the nine months of lockdown, living off credit cards and family, while state and local government employees continue to receive full paychecks for “working” remotely. Public school teachers haven’t taught in a classroom since the schools were closed, and their union is trying to drag that out as long as possible, while they continue to receive full paychecks and benefits.
“As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists, we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection,” read the Great Barrington Declaration petition. “Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health.”
In the United States, lockdowns have been tied to increased thoughts of suicide from children, a surge in drug overdoses, an uptick in domestic violence, and a study conducted in May concluded that stress and anxiety from lockdowns could destroy seven times the years of life that lockdowns potentially save, the Examiner reported.
In California, rather than re-opening and allowing business owners and employees to get back to work, and children back to school, the Legislature, which has allowed Gov. Newsom to rule the state by Executive Order, just passed idiotic laws aimed at converting hotels into apartments for homeless, banning flavored tobacco and fur products, ordering firearms to be micro-stamped, ordering prisons to house transgender inmates based on their gender identity, and regulated food delivery apps.
Let California be a warning to the rest of the country: We really have morphed into, “Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.” (Benito Mussolini)
