This Day in Jersey Nov. 25 –  First US Senators from NJ Elected, Trenton made state capital

On Nov. 25, William Paterson and Dr. Jonathan Elmer were elected as the first U.S. Senators from New Jersey, and a law was passed designating Trenton as the permanent state capital.
